Big, powerful John Hartson moved to West Ham United in February 1997. His partnership with
another new signing, Paul Kitson, was to prove instrumental in the Hammers avoiding relegation
in the 96-97 season. The Welshman stayed two years at Upton Park, enjoying a fine 1997-98
campaign which produced fifteen League goals, before moving on to Wimbledon in another big money deal.

59 League apps (+1 as sub), 24 goals.
