Holland sustained a knee injury in a game against Notts County

on 17 January 1981, after which he played just reserve team football

After his playing career Pat Holland he joined Leyton Orient as player-coach, then

worked as youth team coach at QPR and Tottenham. He also coached at Millwall and

then served as a scout for Millwall then MK Dons.

 

In August 2012, Holland was appointed as the coach of Arsenal's under-18 team.

However, he left his post at the club seven weeks later, citing personal reasons.

Holland went on to continue working for Arsenal as a scout.
