(Peter won the Open de Espana when he beat Ignacio
Garrido in a play-off with a par 4 at the second extra
hole. Lawrie produced a tremendous finish of 4 birdies
in the last 6 holes to lead in the clubhouse at -15
and only an excellent 30 foot birdie putt from Garrido
forced the tournament into a play-off. The pair both
birdied the first sudden death hole - Peter's a
splendid effort from around 30 feet - and it was the
Irishman who would prevail at the second attempt on
the 18th hole.)
