The central picture above shows Graeme McDowell sending the ball on it's way on the 16th hole of the final day singles and the scoreboard in the background was about to change to 2 up after this terrific effort from the popular Northern Irishman. The top left photo shows a delighted Graeme celebrating his superb 15 foot putt - which went a long way to winning the 2010 Ryder Cup for Europe. Graeme then kept his cool at the par 3 17th hole to be around 3 feet from the flag in 2 strokes and opponent Hunter Mahan conceded defeat after failing to make a bogey 4. It was a fabulous effort from McDowell whose performance fully vindicated captain Colin Montgomerie's decision to play him in the final singles position. A stunning fightback by Rickie Fowler against Eduardo Molinari - quickly followed by Zach Johnson's win over Padraig Harrington - had meant that only a win would do for McDowell and the US Open champion did not disappoint. The bottom right photo shows Graeme hitting his tee shot on the 9th in the singles whilst the picture above shows him eyeing up that all important putt at 16.
