Rory McIlroy pictured above on the 18th. green as he hits out of the right hand bunker to land twelve feet from the hole.
He parred the hole and thereby kept the lead, winning by two strokes from Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler, to land his
third Major. The inset picture, of him driving, was taken on the fourth hole which he also parred. However, he bogied on
the next two holes and as his round progressed Sergio closed to within two strokes.
The picture below show the new Champion holding aloft the famous Claret Jug following the presentation.
The inset pictures are of Rory hurling his ball into the Grandstand after his final putt on the 18th.
On 10th August he won his fourth Major - see below.
