| The left hand photo above shows Peter Hanson hitting a fairway wood on
the 2nd hole during the 'Session 2' foursomes match - in partnership
with Miguel-Angel Jimenez - against Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker in
the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor. That match was to end in
disappointment but the pair teamed up once more the following day - see
top right picture - and produced an important 2 up success over Bubba
Watson and Jeff Overton. Peter would then have the misfortune to
encounter a finally in-form Phil Mickelson in the Monday singles; the
American gaining a 4&2 sucess to help set up that most nailbiting of
finales which saw Graeme McDowell keep his nerve admirably to win back
the cup for Europe. |
