Mark CUETO - England - 2007 World Cup (Final)

The pictures above show Mark Cueto  during England's 15-6 defeat to South Africa in the 2007 Rugby World Cup final. The bottom left photo shows Cueto grounding the ball over the try line but the try was disallowed because he had touched the side line. As can be seen in the next photo along it was an agonisingly close call, the video ref Stuart Dickinson deciding that Mark's leg had made the feintest of touches with the white line. Referee Alain Rolland can be seen above disallowing the try, in what was a huge blow to England's chances. Had the try been awarded and converted - a big ask given the difficulty of the kick - they would have gone into a 10-9 lead.
