After making his debut against France in
June 1986 Botica went on to play the next
five Internationals.

Frano missed fourteen Internationals
over a three year period between his
sixth cap against France in 1986 and
his final appearance versus Argentina
in 1989.

Frano switched codes with a move to English
Rugby League club Wigan in 1990.

He also represented the Kiwis in the thirteen
man game - winning seven caps to go along with
the seven he had won in the Union game.
