Won 1 British Lions Cap in 1980 v South
Africa, setting a Lions record of 18 points
in a Test match (5 penalties and a drop goal)
and a record for any player against South Africa.
It was Tony's only Lions Test and he finished the
tour with 48 points in his five games.

Tony scored 113 points in his 19 Ireland games.

In 1978 (aged 23) he scored 38 points in his
debut Five Nations season which was a record.

In 1978 he kicked two drop goals and a
conversion as Munster became the first Irish
side to beat the All-Blacks in Ireland (12-0).
